Answer: The almighty and everywhere present power of God1; whereby, as it were by His hand, He upholds heaven, earth, and all creatures, and so governs them2 that herbs and grass, rain and drought3, fruitful and barren years, food and drink, health and sickness4, riches and poverty5, yea, all things, come not by chance, but by His fatherly hand6.
1Acts 17:25-28, Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed any thing, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us: for in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.

Answer: That we may be patient in adversity1; thankful in prosperity2; and that in all things, and with a view to the future may have good confidence in our faithful God and Father3, that no creature shall separate us from His love4; since all creatures are so in His hand that without His will they cannot so much as move5.
