Question 24: How are these articles divided?
Answer: Into three parts; the first is of God the Father and our creation; the second of God the Son and our redemption; the third of God the Holy Spirit and our sanctification.
Question 25: Since there is but one divine Being1, why do you speak of three, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?
Answer: Because God has so revealed Himself in His Word2, that these three distinct persons are the one, true, and eternal God.

1John 5:7, For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Isa. 6:1,3, In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple... And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory.
John 14:26; 15:26, But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you... But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
2 Cor. 13:14, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
Gal. 4:6, And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Eph. 2:18, For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Titus 3:5,6, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
